Not only can drinking damage your organs, heart and brain, but it can also do a big number of damages to your unborn baby. Your baby can be exposed to many harsh chemicals and even alcohol used for everyday household uses can effect your baby. Things such as speech delays, prematurity, sleep/sucking issues and intellectual disabilities can be created during the consumption of alcohol. The easiest way to prevent your baby from these disturbances is to NOT drink at all. If you've had drinks prior to your pregnancy, then the possibilities of these effects are lower. It is good for you to keep your body free from any type of teratogens that could enter your body during your pregnancy. Asking your partner, family and friends to help you stay away from alcohol could help better your chances of staying away from alcohol. When dealing with alcohol, try staying away from it as much as you possibly can. When handling alcohol, try using a facial mask, gloves or try not to inhale the fumes.
